How does Hypnotherapy Treatment Work?

You may of heard the terms conscious mind and subconscious mind. The conscious mind is the part of the mind that thinks, learns, reasons, rationalizes things and makes decisions.  Once the conscious mind has received enough information it passes it onto the subconscious mind.  So we can think of the subconscious mind as being the automatic part of your mind where everything you have ever learned is stored.

Just as we learn good habits like walking, speaking a language or driving, we can also learn bad habits.  This can include all kinds of  problems and issues for instance, bad eating habits, Anxiety, stress, Addiction, substance misuse, insomnia and many more . Hypnotherapy is an effective way to get rid of those bad habits

By using hypnotherapy treatment we can talk to the subconscious part of the mind with a view to persuading it to overwrite any outdated, unwanted habits.  In this way our methods can not only help you to change habits but can also help you to feel mentally calmer, more relaxed, and back in control.  I have been working effectively with hypnosis for over 12 years. Over this time many clients have changed and transformed their lives and never looked back.

What should I expect from a hypnotherapy session?

Hypnotherapy sessions can take place online or in-person at my relaxing clinic, depending on your preference. At your first appointment we will go through a thorough consultation and design a bespoke treatment plan to meet your individual needs.

Once we have established what you hope to achieve, I will go through what method(s) I plan to use, and give you a rough idea of what to expect and how many sessions may be needed. Typically, a hypnotherapy session will include leading you into a deep state of relaxation, making suggestions for difference of handling a particular issue, behaviour or situation you have been struggling with.
